It's been a while since I visited this site. I'm glad to see that someone else was doing some translations past where I stopped.
Before I had said that I didn't want the translations I made being used for a patch, but I'm going to revise that -- you can use them for a patch if you want as long as you do not credit me by name.
The two reasons I have for this are: 1) The translations were done when my Japanese level was a lot lower than it is now, and I'm a little embarassed about certain parts of it, and 2) I may go into professional translation some day and I would rather not have my real name associated with a rom patch.
I wonder if the translation will ever get completed by someone?

What is there to be embarrased about? Nothing against Standard Addition (or whatever he's called nowadays), but your translation was still far superior to anything else I'd seen on the subject. I'd kill to have you finish it personally, but it's understandable that you have other priorities.
And do people get blackballed for doing ROM translations?

It may have seemed really good because my English ability is fairly good -- unfortunately I have a feeling that translation quality is subpar (although I'd have to check everything over again to see for sure). It's a little strange to me that I did so much translation of this game in the first place -- I'm really not that big of an FE fan (my FE experience consists of 16 chapters of FE6, 18 chapters of FE7, 3 chps of FE3, and 1 of FE4). Hey, nice to see you around Kern! Anyway, we're really glad you did what you can to help us and that's really nice. Of course if anyone here's going to make a patch, I know they will honor your request and not mention you by name. Oh and don't worry, I doubt anyone would translate the game anyway because there's still a chance Nintendo will release this game here. I also heard GBA games are pretty tough to hack. I only see one GBA project so far.
