Yeah, I didn't see any rule about advertising websites, so I hope nobody minds. Anyway, I'm in the middle of constructing a Fire Emblem shrine on a NES page, NWW. nww.silius/net/shrines/fireemblem/There isn't much there yet because I'm not that far in the game; however, I would appreciate any input you all have to make it better. I assume we have some resident FE Gaiden experts around here.

Yeah, I didn't see any rule about advertising websites, so I hope nobody minds. I kinda wondered about that too when I was first here... but afterall, this isn't GameFAQs. ;) Hmm... interesting. =) I never thought I'd see a FE2 shrine. I might be able to help you out a bit if you need it... I know quite a bit about FE2 myself. =D I think Misen was a G. Knight... I'm not sure what the G stands for, though. =(#nosmileys

I could use some help identifying enemies, weapons, and what not. In the third map, there is this swordsman that's indentifies as a "Magic K" or something. Is that supposed to be "Magic Knight?" He doesn't use magic, but he is extremely tough to bring down. He's basically a Mercenary on steroids. And what do I call the spearmen? Soldiers?

Oh dear... playing the patched version I see. =[
I believe the MagicKns are actually Dark Fighters... at least they are later in the game. I'd guess it'd still hold true in the beginning as well.
And yes, the spearmen that are like Ruka are soldiers. =)

I have no problem with him advertising a Fire Emblem site. There aren't enough of them in english if you ask me. A FEG site is very welcomed. IMO this is a very underrated game in the series.

The first thing I would do is get an unpatched version. The patch is horrid. The Ragnarok bug is bloody annoying. Ragnarok is the most powerful (and heaviest) magic spell. In the patch even having it as an option will lock the game when the mage tries to select magic. The patch is full of bugs/incompleteness. The untranslated ending is sad. You get loads of useful character info from the ending. The best bit of abvise I can give you is try babelfishing the stuff on these websites on the game. The babelfish gives you a rough idea of what everything means. Hopfully you can interpret from that. Anyway heres the sites: www.pegasusknight.com/This is a Japanese page. The class change page is very nicely laid out. www.fireemblem.net/fe/html/fe2/index.htmThis is a chinese page. They have map and face art downloads you might like: www.fireemblem.net/fe/download/index.htmThe ones that start fe2_ Be sure to credit these sites. Oh, and ask us any more questions you may have.

I fought the mysterious magic knight again - same map as before - and it says "ercenary" during the fight scene. I assume those guys are supposed to be mercenaries, which makes sense, considering they use swords.
This may sound like a stupid question, but when you say get an unpatched version, does that mean one that's not translated?

If you give me a screenshot of just about any class, I could name it. Just remember that if you're stuck not knowing what something is, I'd most likely be able to identify it if I get a pic of what you're trying to figure out. =)
(*Hinthint the Mercenary, but if I remember right... they actually named the Mercenaries correctly in the patch)
