Before we start let answear the question on the Majorities minds. TRS? Thats Tear Ring Saga. But that isn't Fire emblem! Erm, yes it is Nintendo tried to sue due it being too similar (come on now its only done by the same producer). Nothing like stabbing an ex-eployee in the back (I expect Gunpei Yokis road "accident" was also intentional).
Anyhow let me get to the question. Its about promoting units. So I use a promo item just like any other Fire emblem but when you use it do the Levels: A)Reset like most Fire Emblems B)Retain their number
Also what is the maxinum level of units?
Why do I want to know? Well its because of a certain rook knight under the name of Narrion (yes, it rhymes with Carrion). This topic will not be a ROM request (I want this qiestion asked and technically it isn't a ROM its a CD-ROM).

Not this crap again. Most people don't know this but Yokoi left in good terms with Nintendo. The media just made it sound like the leaving was unpleasant.

I'm confused. I didn't say anything about leaving I was talking about the case (which Nintendo lost as they didn't hold the rights to emblemn yet the game name still changed). I'm very offended by your post, TF. You Ignored the main purpose of this thread (It was to help a poor soul promote units). So I don't know the facts 100 fucking percent. You as the board owner should be setting an example. Maybe if you worded it differently (ie. remove the first sentance) and added i'm sorry I don't know about the promotions but so and so might, try PMing them, then I wouldn't be offened. Things like this make people leave. Read that last sentace carefully i'm not sure how long I can tolerate this place.

Um.....since I haven't finished TS, I have no idea what are those caps. (Hell, last time I played, I didn't know an ounce of Japanese)
His name though, is NARRON.
That's because I have a thing for those young knights who have few dialogue lines. =P

The ammount of Lines Narron has makes him more comparable to Kain or Alva. Anyway some quick research on Peagasus knight led me to my answear. The units have an upper level limit. Whenever you promote is when that upper limit increases by 20 (e.g I promote at level 7 my upper limit becomes 27). To stop certain units being too powerful *cough*Narron*cough* he will miss out on skills unless promoted "Early". What I mean by Early is level 11. It shouldn't affect him that much its not as if GOLD KNIGHTS are really that bad.
The best Example is Norton who will Earn Big shield in his Iron knight form at Level 14 or Level 25. So if you want the skill early on promote him at level 13 otherwise promote him at level 20. Incase you havn't worked out people Earn skills at levelups and can be taught them in villages and via manuals. Quick tip don't give someone who can't go on Water the sea soldier skill, they have no use for it (+10 dodge, +10 hit and move=1 while in water).
If Mr.powerhouses' levels have already maxed don't fear, the super proof is here. What a super proof does is increase the upper limit by a whole 10 levels.
In short the answear I was looking for was B. I always find it Ironic that its easier for me to find out myself than it was to ask in the first place.
