There's not only Holsety as your main attacking forces, especially in 2nd Gen where you can use more Holy Weapons than in 1st Gen, and where you can create extremely good people, even if they haven't any Holy Weapons...
Of course, that's another case if you're playing with most of the substitutes...
But you've got a point I can't deny, it's the fact Corpul joins extremely late, at Level 1, AND on the same Chapter where you have to beat Allione and its Gungnir, when you think that Corpul can't use Holsety unless promoted. That's some extreme bad points...

ARGH!!! Let's just say I love Corpul... Well... Sety heals as well!!! When you try to deny that a Priest isn't a main healer, there's something very wrong with you. If you let Sety just heal, you're, without any doubt, wasting one of your best cards. |

... Holsety = Ishtar slayer. Wind beats Thunder, you know. It does work the other way as well you know, Torhammer directly counters Holsety's bonuses. |

Yes that is very true.... if the Holsety user misses they're very very likely to get killed in 1 hit by Thorhammer, especially since of the high skill bonus from Thorhammer!

And remember: Ishtar's luck is just average (15), while Sety's skill gets to 27 (Arthur's gets to 22), and is increased by +10 because of Holsety itself. |

Um... I DO use Sety to attack with, I just use him to heal as well. Actually I just let Lana heal... and every other staff user.

To TheEnd: Are you a Sety fan? (Don't ask me why I said that) I guess I know why you asked it. The answer is no, though. In my late childhood, I used to play Magic ~ The Gathering. Through it, I learnt some basic lessons. Summing up, it didn't matter how much I liked a card, its effect, its illustration. What's really important is its true usefulness and power. So, I got to like my best cards best. Sety is one of these "best cards", be with a holy weapon or not. I like him as an elite unit, and it's based on his statistic awesomeness that I call those who underuse him 'blasphemers', 'fools' or 'masochists'. Fanboyism is something different from that, you know. Was it clear enough? n.n Obs.: 1) Sety gets * staves with Claude as his father, or B staves if any other is. 2) Lana's problem is that, as a priest, her movement rate is too low. |

While we're on the subject on usefulness, Holsety is by far the most useful weapon that your army has so you had better make best use of it. There is absolutely no question about it, no matter how much you want to think otherwise. Why? Because it is the ONLY holy magic you get other than Narga which is almost completely useless. As such, it is the only holy weapon that takes MDEF rather than DEF into account and can attack from close and far.
Also, lopsided stats are much more useful than rounded stats because it is the best in whatever stat it is. If you want someone to take huge amounts of magic damage, your best bet is in Tyrfing. Fighting a bunch of low accuracy enemies? Holsety and Balmunk will stand unchallenged. I really wish Swanchika is attainable for the +20def...but Gae Bolg is the best there is for the team in terms of defense.
This basically makes Ichival the most useless stat-wise. Still, it is probably the second most useful because it is the only bow. This makes it the only ranged holy weapon other than Holsety.

Agree with TheEnd here.
Sety is the character I like the least in the whole damn game. But he has his uses, and he does what he does better than your usual mage guys.
