I just noticed that line was in my FE4 treasure today, man it was funny. I laughed so hard when I read that. I can't believe I didn't spot this the day I got the book.
Oh yeah and I still don't know what Eaichu was talking about the other day in chat. I went over the bonus from Tylfing and it doesn't say anything about it giving Sigurd's 40% extra HP growth. Unless I remembered the number wrong.

No, no... Having major Baldo blood gives Sigurd a boost in growth statistics. So his normal growth rates, while seemingly low, are actually higher when you count in the boost from Baldo.

nope eaichu is right, almost all holy blood gives you 40% extra HP growth (with a few exceptions, namely narga, roptous and blagi which give +20% HP gr.). all full holy blood. so yeah Sigurd has more than 100% HP growth in total.

That's not what the FE Treasure says. It says all holy blood gives 20% HP bonus.

If I'm correct, having a Major Holy Blood doubles the stat growth bonus the Holy Blood gives to the character.
So, for example, Baldo blood gives +20% HP, +10% STR, +10 SKL, and +10% LUK. Since Sigurd has Major Baldo Blood, the Baldo bonuses will be +40% HP, +20% STR, +20% SKL, and +20% LUK.
And since Sigurd has 70% in HP Stat Growth, that gives him a total of 110%. That's why Sigurd can, rarely I admit it, obtain 2 HP pts when he gains a level.
