Is there anything I can do?

I'm trying to get Sypheel/Slyvia's Defender sword in Chapter 4, but the game keeps freezing. I try resetting the game, reloading states, even redoing the chapter, but I can't do it? How can I get it. (PS, I have not conquered Thove yet...would doing that help the problem?)

Save the game PROPERLY (when none of your units have moved and choose "save" from the menu. Then make Sylvia go into the village. If it fails- which is likely- THEN press reset. load up the game properly from the start menu and choose the safe file and KEEP trying it. Good luck then.

EDIT: The sword's not that great anyway so you should leave it if all else fails :)

It's a little heavy, so I usually leave her with the thin sword for general use. On the other hand, in the arena, it's occasionally useful for causing an opponent to knock you to very low HP instead of killing you outright. At that point, Prayer kicks in, and Sylvia/Lynne progresses another level up the chart.

Oops I said not that great and you shouldn't go to all lengths just to get it. I mean it's not exactly a Balmunk is it? Yeah that defender sword/prayer thing works for me too

Um... Arden? I TRIED using him but I don't want to, if he had a better face and a class that doesn't involve armour I might use him.

I prefer to rip Arden of all his posessions, including the Tsuigeki Ring. He's not that great, and too slow. I've never liked armors/generals, anyway.

It's not like he has much possessions, by the way... If you give him nothing, he ends up with only an Iron Sword and Pursuit Ring... And only Pursuit Ring is worth picking on him.

How injustice! Clearly that in the start it is almost always forgotten in the way while stronger and more cool characters go to enemy, and clearly that it almost never obtained to finish the sequence of fights in Arena. But after promoted, it it can equal to those two useless paladins Noish and Alec... Without saying that it can equip 4 types of different weapons... If prevent the mages, and forget its ridicule movement, he is a character at the very least B... And, he is so sentimental... Poor Arden...
