No, Sharlow gets the Beserk staff through an event with Hannibal. Just have the two end turns with Each other sometime in the chapter.
If Sharlow started with a beserk staff chances are corpul would have as well.
I couldn't look at the save as the link didn't work.
Btw, DarkTwilkitri where is class they promorte to on that lovely list of data?

The class they promote to isn't included with the character data. Come to think of it, I never actually found a list of all the promotions... I wonder whether they're stored as promotions of the character or promotions of the class? In any case, I'll have to get on that sometime.

In FE5, they stored in the form XX XX YY, where XX XX is the character number, and YY is the promoted class. Maybe it's similar in FE4.
Maybe not. But it may be worth a try, no?

I tried searching for that earlier after remembering you talking about it in the FE5 board. It didn't work... but after you posted that I tried again, but this time only did one part instead of trying a string of them... It's weird.
They're in that format (Cl Ch LL), but that's followed by another number which I can't figure out... And further, a lot of the characters have their original class there as well, and Arion and some others have entries in it. It's confusing.
~ 17:88AD if you want to have a look at it.
They don't seem to be in any sort of order, either...

I tend to use FeEdit for promotions.
I noticed the data yesterday when I had to repair some pointers which mysterously corrupted themselves (compare a file with non-messed pointers and edit, I then realised I was editing promotion data and not the broken pointers).
