Awww...that's sweet! I hadn't really thought of that much, since my mind is usually firmly locked on the first gen characters.

But anyway. Eltoshan versus Finn.

The impression I get of Finn from the game is formal and somewhat shy. He's rather polite, and not particularly vocal. Eltoshan, on the other hand, seems far more self-assured and, for lack of a better word, fiery.

Since it's pretty much a given that Lachesis had feelings of some kind of Elto--how deep they ran is up to personal interpretation (although I quite like the way the manga by Osawa Mitsuki handled it, with that scene before he dies, RAWR)--I like to see her end up with someone different. Notice how all of her other predestined matches are blonde guys with swords? I don't like that. It seems too much like she's just trying to replace her brother.

Finn, though, looks totally different and acts very different. And I think that because of that, he's the only one she'd truly love for who he is.

Hey, as long as they're not damaging the gene pool by reproducing, I'm not going to bitch about their fetishes.

As for the grammar question, Strunk and White say that possessives should be formed with apostrophe-s. Ancient proper names ending in "es" or "is" are an exception, but since I'm certainly not ancient (although I suppose I'm almost over the hill by this forum's standards, heh), the proper choice would be Iris's.

(Edit: The possessive rule is one that I see even some English teachers enforce loosely, however.)
