If you have a patched version. (Like me) you can just simply look for something that involves trading... If not then just look through the menus till you come across something that involves trading. Remember they need to be next to each other in order to trade.

You can't trade directly in this game.
All you can do is to use the pawn shop to swap items, which means the buyer has to have extra money to buy stuff.
But, if two characters are lovers, they can give each other money. Thieves can also do this for all characters.
This little setback is pretty much paid back in full by the ability to repair your weapons all the time, methinks. XD

It's not difficult, honest. You don't need to switch weapons around that often. FE4's not much harder than FE7.
Ability to trade doesn't make a game easier. I should know. FE5 kicked my ass, even with all its inventory management possibilities. And it still does. ^^;;;;;

So pretty much sell to pawn shop, then you can buy from the pawn shop with a different character? (Sell is first option, Buy is 2nd option, right?)... I wish you could use a 'trade' option.

gotta love FE4 repairing system xD
you wouldn't love THAT earth sword though, SummerWolf.
in term of system, FE4 is less flexible than FE5 (in fact i don't find the system at all flexible; IS had to use a different one for FE5 (and so on) afterall.).
