He so does not suck in the 2nd Generation.. ; For me that is.. Finn always end up with most stats being 20+ for me.. He gets better than Cuan without the Gaebolg.. or whatever is the name of that spear.. ; That's why Finn is one of my favorite Male characters.. ^^;

You were just unlucky pal. BTW this bull about Fin having lower stats growth in the second gen is... bull. I looked at the Fire Emblem Treasure and it says his stats growth is exactly the same as young Fin.

*laughs* Eai explained things to me that it's the Duke Knight class's stat caps that make him look like he sucks. And he's probably right. ^^
Finn-sama SO does not suck. He's not as strong as his son in my game (please mind that Delmud is stronger than Aless in that particular one =P ) but he still solved a few boss problems for me.
That's not the reason I like him, though. ^^ Well, maybe that's PART of it.

I don't know about that. The Duke Knight's stats cap looks pretty good to me. I mean sure they aren't the best but Fin can easily reach his stats cap while some people with higher stats cap can't even get their stats as high as Fin. Although I've never manage to reach 30 luck for Fin, that high luck of his really makes things better.

Nope, that's not what I meant. I meant that if you class change him early on, chances are he would've maxed most, if not all, of his stats already. That leads to the illusion that his stats grow poorly in the second gen, while it's really because they CAN'T grow any further. ^^;

I understand what he's saying though . . .
For me, Finn is often . . . forgive me, a Jeigan, in the second generation. But I believe that is the case because of two factors. First, the children basically kick so much ass that virtually anyone is a Jeigan, even Ares (rarely). And the Duke Knight stat caps comes in a distant second.

I mean come on tristan has the best hp growth in the game (maybe a Holin couple can be on par but anyway..). If Finn were Level 1 in the second gen he would seem good. But for most of us he comes into the second gen unable to up his stats. Atleast the stat caps don't totally choke him (Arthur with levin as his father and the mage knights speed cap of 22 ) I geuss being too good has its disadvantages.

For me, Finn was a tank for like, the first 3 levels you have him in the second generation. Then again he was level 26 before he left in the first generation. Promoted I might add. If Finn sucks for you, maybe you never really used him XD
Ares? A Jeigan? No damn way, he ended up more powerful than the children in the second generation by far. Probably the only person to come halfway close was Rakche (which was obvious, but next to Celice, Ares was the second character I promoted, followed by Rakche. And unlike those two he didn't need Elite (Rakche)/Elite Ring (Celice) to get that far)

ahh Finn is excellent if you use he alot, i mean finn is alot better on my files then the other characters with holy weapons.
I always get him to lv 26 or so before he go in chapter 4, then when he comes back in chapter 7 he critical hit most of the bad guys because i kill so many stuff with him and the hero spear. He even kill Ishtar on my game by addicent. I was going to pick Ares to kill her and pick finn instead. thankgod he critical hit that bitch to hell.
anyway I think this is he max out stats besides maigc attack
Finn Duke Knight Lv 30 Hp :61 Att: 27 mga: 0 spd: 22 skills: 22 Luk: 30 def; 23 Mdef: 7

The only reason Fin seems like a Jeigan in the second gen is probably cause your Fin is too powerful. In Chapter 7, your kids are still weak needs the extra time to build up. By chapter 9, your Fin should be battling right along side of everyone.
BTW, here's a tip on how to equip Fin. If you sold the Hero Spear to Fury in the first part and had Fury paired with Levin, this trick will work even better. After Fee's class changed, give Fin back his Hero Spear and let Fee use his Sliver Spear. Here's why, I'm sure everyone love the Hero Spear and can easily get 50 kills with it. Once you have 50 kills, it's meaningless to let Fee have it if her father is Levin. Giving Fin the Hero Spear would make up for his max 22 speed and givng him the extra boost with the 50 kill critical. He has a much high strength than Fee anyway. Giving Fee the Silver Spear will boost Fee's low strength, plus she has a much higher speed than Fin so the Silver Spear won't weight her down as much. And of course let's not forget her crital skills. This way, both of them can benefit from the weapons and both of them can make up for each other's weakness. Balancing out your weapons is very important.

I can attest to that, since I always give the Hero Spear back to Finn (it's his, dammit. He has the right). He criticals like crazy with that thing. =P

If you got Finn's Hero Spear to 50 kills, and give it back to Finn, he will be a God in the second generation. He always rocked for me, but then again, I never really sold his Hero Spear off to Fury...Fee was pretty good anyway.
