Yes, it is possible. Just VERY hard. On the last numbered level (30 Eliwood, 32 Hector) kill every enemy and the boss and don't seize the throne. Wait MANY turns until the 'Support' option apears. After that wait just as many turns on the same level after they have been supported. Then you seize the throne. On the next level you can use support right away. Then kill every enemy exept Nergal (Renforcements only come once.). Then wait for about 40-80 turns and then kill Nergal. On the last battle you can support right away. There. Now you have 'A' support for whoever. It works for Renault too!

Yeah you can stay for a few 100 turns in the stage where you get Karel to get his support. FE6 allows you to support the same person more than once.

I see...the one support per chapter restraint isn't in FE6....
That'd explain how you can get A support with Karel in 2 chapters. I wouldn't really know since I rarely ever got the supports upto A in FE6 or even bothered trying.

Well I checked and its true....you can have multiple supports with the same character in FE6 in one chapter but FE7 limits it to one support with that character each chapter but not one support per chapter.

I kinda like the way support works in FE6. It's a no hassle kinda thing. I hate having to bring Renault to the last few stages just to get his support convos.

But the downside in FE6 is you can't record your supports or see who supports who....but yeah generally the FE6 system was better....
And on the subject....does anyone know anything about Renault? I haven't got any of his supports yet and I really want to know whats his story.

From Canas's A convo, Renault was Nergal's first...lab rat, so to speak. He served Nergal to try to bring back a friend he'd lost (somehow, this is tied to the reason he killed Lucius's parents), volunteering to subject himself to all the experiments. That's hundred of years ago. Those experiments made him 'less than human' and made him a bit knowledgable about morphs. He was a great mercenary, Renault the Impervious, before he became a bishop, and influenced the life of several, incluing Wallace (childhood hero), Lucius (parent's murder). And that's all I know. =P

Renault vaguely reminds me of the FE6 Karel with his history...black font for spoilers:What do you think he means by "less than human", though? Considering that he was working with morphs, do you think he means part morph? That would be like a magical cyborg.

Actually, there IS a limit to Support in FE6; only 120 points of Support in total can be distributed in each chapter. So a B rank between two characters with a starting support rating of 0 at the chapter you can have the two characters along side of each other requires that you distribute ALL 120 points to the Support of the two characters. Still, at least you can get two support conversations between the same people in each chapter in FE6. In FE7, though, it's far easier to get many support conversations, although that might not be saying much. |
