[glow=green,2,300] ' Man, Lyn's quest seems like a joke to me. I know, it's supposed to teach you how to play, but it's too easy. I lost characters because I let them DIE!!! Like Dorcas for instance. I let him die in the same scene I got him. *sigh* It takes maybe 2 hrs for anyone to beat Lyn's quest on thier first try anyways. Bleh. Eliwood's quest is much harder than Lyn's and therefore much more fun...hehehehe.[/glow]

. . . It's SUPPOSED to be a joke. It's a tutorial.

It's not supposed to be a joke, it's just supposed to not be long, difficult or anything. It's a tutorial. If you pay attention to what they tell you, you can avoid dying. =P

I've never seen a hard tutorial, have you? It kind of defeats the purpose of tutorials. Of course, for first time FE players, like most people here in the West are, I'm sure it's a lot harder. I always screwed up bigtime when I first started playing FE.

I've never seen a hard tutorial... Kessen 2's tutorial was kinda hard =\ I've seen a few others too... I just forgot them... But yeah... Paola's right, most people in the west here have only seen Marth and Roy in SSBM and then wonder where they are in the game (or they think Eliwood is Roy and sometimes Hector is Marth and they changed the names ; . The tutorial seems a bit... late in the series though. It took seven games before they put an in-depth tutorial. Although... I guess the reason is that FE7 was the first designed for western release...

If you want roms, just go to amardu.com, dammit. They have just about everything there. You'll have to enter a username and a password to download, but it says right on the front page.

Not to get off track, but I knew about AmardU anyway. I used to give out ROMs to people, but after a while I got tired of doing so. I made a post about how I wasn't going to anymore, but I still got bugged. I got so fed up with it that I put that in my sig... and I still got one or two, but they mostly stopped. You should've read it more carefully anyway...

I believe that not only is Lyn's quest there to introduce new players (like myself) to Fire Emblem but also to make Eliwood's quest a little bit easier because you get to level up all the characters during the first ten chapters and then they come back during Eliwood's route and if they were leveled up enough they will be a big help.

It's also not a tutorial if you decide to play on hard mode, too.
