Elements of War (the Yuritu story)

Well here it is.. heheh. its going to be written out in chapters over time.. ahah.. so enjoy my story in all its details.. ahahhaah.. ;D
this first part is infact just a prologue..

Part 1... beginnings of the hero Yuritu and his tales into the affairs of the planet..



Yuritu was a young man.. He grew up with his sister Lor, of whom he loved very much.. He and Lor shared many experiences, good an bad.. During the great war... Lor had met a soldire by the name of Zharda.

Zharda was only in his teens now, and a new recruit into the armed forces.. Lor fell in love with him before, he took his leave to duity.. She waited a year for his return, but it was not ment to be so... A year later, Lor received a letter, stating of Zhardas dissapearance....... Crushed, Lor turned to her good freind Yudin, who was in fact the same age as Yuritu... Yudin helped Lor recover from her sorrow... But then Lor and Yuritu had moved away... to a distant land, far from Yudin.. For the area of their previous home had fallen victim to the great war...

4 years later, Lor turned 20, Yuritu was still 18.... Lor after complete recovery over Zharda had met a new man that went by the name of Alvaren.. They had fallen in love.. and were in such a state for 2 years, until their marrage... On the same day of their marrage, the Great war had ended.. but the destruction was great, leaving much of the world in ruins.....

Then there was an event.. 1 year after thier marrage... An event that shook the fate of the planet... Lor and Alvaren were taking a walk along a cliffside over looking a river canyon... There they would meet Yuritu, and Lors old frd Yudin.. The weather was nice and the clouds reflected the setting sun in a deep red... Yuritu had shown up early.. Yudin was not to show at all... Lor and Alvaren were standing close, when a large jolt of lightening struck them down... as it his Lor's heart stopped, and Alvaren fell over the cliff into the river.. He was dead before he hit the water... Yuritu was safe from harm, and morned this moment for the rest of his life... After this took place, he wandered the world aimlessly for the next 18 years...

Yuritu is now 38.. but he never aged in appearence since that day.. since that is where his mind dwells... The story will begin in part 2....

Ok.. heres where the actual story begins.. tho dont disregard anything from the prologue.. any feedback is welcome ;D ahaha..

Part 2... The wandering mage to be..

After his sisters death, Yuritu had abandoned his family. For 18 years he wandered aimlessly around the world.. He never aged, and never befrended a single human being.. He had isolated himself to cope with the pain of his loss.... On the 18th year anaversary this would all change.. He was walking along a small river valley far from his homeland... The land in the area was lush, and untouched by war.. A small odd shaped leaf floated towards him.. It was in the shape of a spade, but its veins were in a swirl.. He grabbed the leaf from the air and examined it closely... "To the tree from whence this leaf came... That is where i will reside for the next day.."

He walked for an hour checking all trees he came across.. After this hour he came across a woman, of whom he felt he knew... He stopped her on the path and asked her the wherabouts of the tree that grows the leaf he had.. The woman was unable to support an answer, but she pointed him in the direction of an odd tree over the hill.. Little to Yuritu's knowlege, this woman was in fact Yudin of whom he had not seen for 20 years... They had both forgotten of eachothers existance...

Upon arival at the tree, Yuritu rests for the night, leaning against its trunk.. When he awakens he hears a voice.. He looks everywhere but cannot determine a source. The voice tells him that he has been gifted... Gifted with all the powers of wind and weather...This voice claims himself to be the spirit of the wind.. The soul of the element that controls the nature of weather.. The spirit requests that Yuritu take part in a war, on his behalf... Yuritu was not given a true reason and declines the offer... The spirit sais that he has no choice now, he has been granted the power and he has been forced into the war because of this.... The spirit tells him there are 3 others in this war, and that he will know them when he sees them.. Yuritu in shock runs from the tree into the open feild... In fear for himself, he runs from an inescapable destiny....

Part 3 - The begging of war... the bane of all existance...

After receiving the gift of wind, Yuritu ran from the vesinity in order to try and escape the spirit that had spoken to him.. Though he was forced into a war he had no intention of fighting..... Though curious he would occasionaly stop to make a small gust of wind or a light rain.. He enjoyed this in his abilities, for it brought him peace of mind... Soon he would discover that this was not all fun and games...

After wandering for several days, Yuritu stumbles accross a strange man.. Hes wore a long black overcoat that ran to his feet.. "Ive been looking for you.." The man states.. Yuritu is suprised, as the man claims to be a warrior in a great war... He reveils himself as the representative of the water spirit... He calls himself Alvaren. Yuritu realizes that this Alvaren wishes to fight him... He declines the battle but Alvaren will not hear of it.. A battle rages, but Yuritu refuses to fight back... The water magic is becoming overwhelming as Alvaren is skilled in combat, and uses a teleport to get behind Yuritu before blasting him with water... Yuritu is severly weakend, and can barely stand... He still refuses to fight.. Alvaren claims him to be weak, and refuses to fight an enemy that cannot fight.. He leaves leaving a weakend Yuritu in the open...

Yuritu had fallen unconcious.. When he awoke he was in a small house with the scent of food... He tried to get up, but was still injured from the battle he refused to fight.. He sat quietly by himself for an hour before a woman entered the room.. It was the same woman from before.. The one he asked about the leaf.. She told him he had been unconcious for a day, and that she found him in the feild covered in leaves... She had followed him because she had thought that she had known him at one point in time... Yuritu introduced himself... The woman looked a bit suprised to hear the name... She introduced herself as Yudin.. Yuritu too was shocked.. Old freinds were once again united...

Part 4 - The 4 warriors of magic...

Yuritu did not know that he had met the warrior of Fire.. He only knew Yudin as an old friend. Just as Yudin thought the same... Yudin had left the house to run some errands the next day.. After she left, Yuritu is trying to remeber about Alvaren.. The memories of his sister and her husband were so painful he had forgotten who her husband was.. The name Alvaren ment something to Yuritu, he knew the name, but he couldnt put a finger on it.. He began to think back to the moment when he watched his sister die by the lightening, and her husband fall into the river below... Alvaren.....

Yudin walks through the market, buying food supplies for her and Yuritu.. She reaches the end of town, where she meets a short man in a grey gi. He claimed himself to be a follower of the earth.. He called himself Zharda..... Yudin knew what was happening. She was discovered.. She ran from town into a small canyon far away, Zharda following close behind. When they reached the canyon, Zharda declared battle. Yudin claimed to dislike the idea of battle but agreed to fight due to lack of other choice..

Alvaren..... Suddenly a man burst into the house as Yuritu sat thinking.. It was a friend of Yudins. He said that she was challanged to a fight outside of town.. Yuritu decided that it would be best for him to lend a hand. He ran off towards the battlefield.. Yudin and Zharda had already began to fight.. Zharda used the earth as a weapon and Yudin used the powers of fire.. They battled for several minutes, with Zharda winning.. As Yuritu had just arived, Yudin and Zharda had used the strongest moves they knew causing the area around them to be destroyed in a massive explosion.. Yuritu, Zharda, and Yudin were thrown unconcious...

Okie.. heres chapter 5 ^_^.. the chapters start to get a bit shorter.. but then later they get longer than b4.. hahaha.. its just were i had the most main points of the story..

Part 5 - Unforseen enemies

Alvaren... Yuritu dreams of his sister and of her husband.. He tries to remember where he heard the name while in his dreams... Alvaren...... He sees the man claiming to be Alvaren.. a dark look in his eyes. "Only the beginning Yuritu.. This is your destiny to fight." The man spoke to him. Yuritu awoke from the darkness laying in the soft dirt... He sat up and looked into the canyon below that was blown into a crater. He saw the bodies of Yudin and another man lying on the ground.. He runs down the slope into the crater to see Yudin.. He had so many questions.. Just then Alvaren teleported in front.. "Do you wish to save the lives of your enemies Yuritu?!" He shoots water at Yuritu to begin the battle.. Yuritu quickly dodges.. He still refuses to fight.. Alvaren releases all hes got on Yuritu but he still refuses to fight back... Yuritu has become more skilled at dodging the blasts from Alvaren.. Then finaly a blast strikes Yuritu in the face knocking him far back.. In defence as he flies Yuritu fires a blast of sonic wind back.. It slices Alvarens shoulder.. "So you decided to accept your fate." Alvaren again begins to toy with Yuritu.. Alvaren leaves the battlefield satasfied..

Yuritu rushed Yudin to the hospital but left Zharda behind only telling the doctors where to find him.. When Yudin awakens Yuritu tells him that he is fighting on behalf of the wind spirit and that he cannot be around her in fear for her life.. She tells him the same and Yuritu leaves the hospital with Yudin thanking him for her final words.. Yuritu then begins to wander again, but this time he decides upon a purpous.. He decides to seek answers to the origin of this war he is fighting.. He feels he can fight if he has a reason to.. So he goes in search of the spirits in order to talk to them...

Part 6 - Encounter in the water

Zharda awoke in the dirt beaten and bruised.. The body of his enemy had gone, and so had the body of the other man who came in at the last second... He got to his feet as hospital staff arived to offer assistance... He figured to accept the offer thinking that his oponents would have gone to the same place..

Yudin was in the hospital when she saw Zharda being carried by her room on a streacher.. He gave her an evil glare as he passed.. Yudin spooked by this decided to run for it when she could.. She waited for night fall and escaped out the hospital window... She had only one thing on her mind now.. Finding Yuritu...

Yuritu was miles away by now, still in search for answers.. He has no leads to go on so he just wanders the roads in hope of some lead... After many days of walking he got much more than the lead he was looking for... During a hot afternoon Yuritu stopped by a creek to take a drink of fresh water... After he got his fill he turned to walk away... But then he felt a force behind him, like someone was watching him.. someone strong.. He turned around to face the spirit of water... It was no more than a ball of energy floating in the sky, with no form... "You wish to kill me dont you?" asked Yuritu.. "I would wish it... I do not deny that.." it replies.. Yuritu tries to get answers to the reason of the war out of the spirit.. He asks why this war is taking place, but he is answered with only that it is what they wish.. None of this made any sence to Yuritu, but before he could think much of it the water spirit attacked... Yuritu managed to fight well but not well enough... He lost the fight, but he was not injured much.. The water spirit left the creek suddenly, only saying that he'd rather see the outcome between him and Alvaren..... Given no answer from the water spirit, Yuritu continues his quest for the answer to his question... What is the meaning behind this war...

well again to make up for lost time.. im posting 2 chapters today.. besides chapter 7 is a shorter 1...

Part 7 - Yudins defender

Yuritu had not traveled far from that small stream.. He walked slowly, thinking to himself of the information that the water spirit had told him... He thought hard about how he had become involved in this and why..

Yudin had been wandering the trail in search of Yuritu... It was late at night, and she was in a small patch of woods, just before the stream that yuritu was at the afternoon before.. The woods were generaly silent which spooked Yudin a bit.. So when Yuritu showed up from the shadows she jumped. She soon realized who it was, and Yuritu apologized.. He was returning to the hospital to see her anyways.. He told her that he wanted to see how she was recovering, regardless if they were ment to fight eachother.. They agreed to travel together for answers... Just as they were about to leave, Zharda showed up, and shot up a wall of stone seperating Yudin from Yuritu, leaving him to fight Yudin 1 on 1... Yuritu tried franticly to destroy the rock wall, but it was too thick.. He had heard Yudin scream in pain, as she was hit the the shoulder with a stone.. Yuritu began to climb the wall... Before Zharda could drop a giant boulder onto Yudin, Yuritu had reached the top and shattered the rock with his thunder.. He jumped down to Yudins aid, she was once again injured, mainly because she never fully recovered, but neither had Zharda.. As Yuritu tried to attack Zharda, Alvaren interveined....

Well heres chapter 8.. again a shorter one.. oh well im sure alot of these chapters are too much to read anyway ahha..

Part 8 - The breaking point

The four starred eachother down for seveal minutes.. Alvaren stated that he did not agree with this unfair fight, so he decided to step in... Yuritu stood infront of Yudin to try and shield her.. She was still quite injured and there was nowhere to run.. Alvaren started the fight with a blast of water, Yuritu easly blocked it with a wind shield.. The battle that had just started did not last long, Zharda and Yudin still being weak, did not fight much.. It was mostly Yuritu and Alvaren fighting through the trees. The battle ended when Yuritu had managed to hide in the shaddows, grab Yudin and escape through the forest... Alvaren now stood in the trail near the badly beaten Zharda.. "Your too weak..." he told Zharda.. Alvaren left Zharda on the ground kicking him before walking off.. Alvaren did not wish to fight Zharda in his weakened state..

Zharda lay in that spot for the rest of the night, quietly sleeping... He was found the next morning by a young woman.. When Zharda awoke he was in a warm house in the countryside. The woman called herself Celia, she was a farmer of the plains here. Zharda tries to leave, but Celia refuses to let him leave in the condition hes in... She continues to care for him and nurse him back to health, and whenever he askes why she does this she just smiles at him and walks away.. Zharda gives in and decides to accept the hospitality though he doesnt like the idea one bit....

Well well here is part 9.. Im not really sure how far into the story this is, cuz i infact do not have every chapter written up yet.. so far i have 14.. i estimate, maybe 17-18 chapters in total.. so this could infact be half way..

Part 9 - True hearts of earth wind and fire...

Yuritu had managed to escape with Yudin safely... Though Yudin was badly hurt he carried her as far from the battle ground as possible while staying in the shadows.. The night had drawn to a close and they had left the forest... After a day or so they had come across a village.. There Yuritu took Yudin to a place where she could recover.. He stayed by her side the whole time, though she was unconcious throughout most of the recoverey.. He only left to eat, or if someone asked him to leave... Days passed and Yudin was recovering still.. She finally awoke after a week and a half.. (though from time to time she would come to, but not say anything)... She looked over and saw Yuritu sitting next to a window, staring out into the streets.. She called his name and he looked over with a shocked look on his face.. They talked long.. Yudin was now almost fully recovered and they decided to thank the people that cared for her and take their leave... After they left the village they decided to find the spirits and continue to do what Yuritu was doing before this all happened...

Zharda was bedridden still while Yudin still lay silent... The woman who called herself Celia was quite caring towards him.. He at this point decided to stop asking why, because he would always just get that warm smile from her, then she would walk away.. Zharda soon became pleased to be in her company, and after he was able to move again he would try to help her around the house, doing odd chores.. She was beginning to grow on him and soon his raging heart softened... He changed.. He had become a more caring person in the time he was there.. He felt his heart soften every time she smiled at him.. After 2 weeks past she decided to tell him why... She told him that he reminded her of someone she once knew.. A man who was to become her housband that had run off to war.. (the wars end is still quite recent.. this event would have been like 10 years ago or so...) She told him that the man she loved never returned from that war.. He died defending an officer.. She had felt sorrow all these years until she found Zharda lying on the ground nearly dead... Suddenly it reminded her of her love.. so she brought him in... Though now she told him that she had begun to fall for him... Zharda was a bit shocked to hear this.. But agreed .............

Well here here.. chapter 10 is upon us.. i think i need to write a bit faster.. and my estimate still stays pretty much the same chapter wise..

Part 10 - Loss

Alvaren wandered alone.. A quiet head, lacking any thought other than that of plans to kill off the other 3 element warriors in a fair fight.. Suddenly, as he was walking alone, he had a mental vision, a day dream.. He saw a young woman... She had a stern look in her eyes, but they were still caring... She looked over at Alvaren with a loving stare.. He soon felt tears run down his cheeks.. He could see a bright orange sunset behind her.. Then the vision left.. Tears continued to run down his face.. He stood still wondering why he felt emotions for this vision.. Then he heard a voice.. It sounded almost angry.. It told him he had no use to care for that vision.. It was of no importance.. Alvaren continued on his way...

Zharda had been with Celia for about 3 weeks now.. He had fully recovered but decided not to leave the farm.. He wanted to help Celia out around the house and on the farm... She much appreciated the help he provided and they grew ever closer...

A week after Yuritu left the town with Yudin, they had traveled uneventfully.. Each day only walking and talking.. Yuritu told her about his past and what happened to him during the years he wandered alone.. Though there was not alot to tell.... One day they stopped in a field to have a picnic lunch during a bright sunny afternoon.. They had become quite close by this point... Yuritu then had a thought... It was kinda outta the blue.. He asked Yudin "How do you think the element spirits will react to two of their servants falling in love?" .... She just smiled at him and said.. "It really doesnt matter to me.. I dont think they know.".. Just after she said this, there was a shadow that cast over the field.. Soon over the horizon a black line appeared. As the line approached, they could see clearly the army of black beings.. They looked vicious, ment to kill... Yuritu and Yudin then knew that the elements knew about this, and this is how they would react... They decided that they would have to fight.. Together they used the best of their abilities to kill off most of the massive army.. Yudin was faring the best with her fire magic.. Yuritu held out pretty well, though he took a few blows in the process.. But when Yudins back was turned, a mass of the beings jumped onto Yuritu pinning him to the ground.. He screamed, and Yudin heard.. But there were too many beings in the way for her to help.. Before she could reach Yuritu they had surrounded him then they vanished into thin air, taking Yuritu along with them... Yudin was left standing alone in the field, shocked by this turn of events......
