I was just wondering if you got anything for killing Damian on Chapter 16x? Is he a part of the sidequest you take if there's still Caelin survivors? I'm curious cuz the chapter seems exactly the same as if I hadn't taken the sidequest. I managed to kill him once but not without heavy losses. He seems to only move if the pirates do.

I was just making sure I wasn't going to get another chapter or something for killing him. What's the big whoop about the Caelin guard's sidequest then? For a minute I thought I'd accidently chosen no and just gone to Badon.

The Caelin Sidequest IS BADON....
And Ch-16x main highlight is you can recruit Canas the only Dark Magic user you get in the game.

You can easily kill him with Marcus and a knight killer. Marcus has 3 uses for me and 16x is one of them.

Damian's actually an easy kill. I wouldn't resort to Marcus (though I'll admit, he is good at kicking the crap outta the guy) simply because he's ursurping all that wonderful experience from another character who could benefit from it more. Who you use is up to you, as long as you're wary of his silver spear... ^_^;

I've killed him with Lyn, Hector... I think Lyn criticaled his dumb arse twice in one playthrough.
I've never used Marcus to attack, especially bosses. I'd rather not he take away my precious EXP. =P

Lyn's criticaled the dumb arse of every boss I've used her against twice. ^_^ I haven't literally used her against every boss, but still...it's another reason why I vouch for her being the best of the 3 lords.  |

Lyn is frail. Without her Evade rate (which can sometimes be driven useless), she would be slain rather quickly. -_-
Damian has a Kill Sword, NOT A SILVER LANCE! So don't just send Bartre or Dorcas to attack the iggit, because neither could even last 5 seconds unless you really pumped one of them up and then maybe promoted whichever one was built up.

Sigh. Now now, don't go ballistic. He has a Silver Sword (or Lance, I forget which) in Hector's route. =P
The only time Damian killed Lyn was when I forgot to do Lyn's quest before Hector's, so she was at a shitty level. =P

Yes he has different weapons depending on the route. He's actually easier in Hector route. Plus one or 2 bosses killed by Marcus isn't such a big deal.

Damian wasn't that hard in either route, I killed him with Oswin in both routes.

Damian isn't too hard to kill, but I did use Marcus around this time to wipe out all the pirates very quickly so I could level hog the arena.

i think the very best part of that level is canas, the arena is nice, but i like canas and his dark magic more. the boss is easy so he not even in top ten on best pats list.
