Should I defeat him or just claim the space? My luck has always been that just before i can deal a finishing blow to him from Guy with a Killing Edge he pulls off a critical.

well, if you're lazy and want to just skip him, just lure him out of the space, but he does give some decent experience so you could use a thief or swordperson to kill him.

OK, thanks. I believe I will kill him with Guy and Matthew, and perhaps try out Lucius and Rath as well.
