I suggest either Guy or Raven. Both have strong points and weak points. Guy's main weak point for me was no strength or defense, but he had speed, and lots of it, plus the critical, critical rate with a Killing Edge is over 50% for me. Raven didn't have too good of a resistance rating for me, and his luck sucked for me as well, he always seemed to get hit. Your choice though.

depends on what you need the most. I used my first Hero Crest on Dorcas because hector was very weak(yeah... I don't like him because he used to die a lot  ) |

you dont have to have those units to pass the game, i never used raven and guy and still beat the game easily in normal.

chapter 14(which looks pretty similar to a chapter in FE6 XD)...just visit the vililage in the south of the map!

still...guy is ok, but he is really good with dealing with hordes of brigands. Maybe only one/five brigands will hit guy. Raven is like the best swordsman in the game. Come on! Priscilla is a great asset. You really should get her.
Ok, to get guy, in chapter 13, guy is the myrmidon who talks with that buck-toothed bandit guy. check for him, he's near a fortress. Have mathew tallk to him. For priscilla, visit the village in the south in chapter 14 before pirates demolish the village. For raven, in chapter 16, have priscilla talk to him before the caelin guards kill him.

Raven is crap for me, all he grows are life, str and skill and the other stats are low as hell.

Those are the points that count  It's better than my Hector... who has an impossibly high strength rating but no skill. Priscilla was the best for me though... she almost maxed every stat. |
