I have a Fire Emblem Manga (http://mj.shueisha.co.jp/comics/fe/img/cover_fe01-l.jpg) and there is this little boy with the blue hair, a couple of other characters and some FE6 characters...
And now, I heard this young boy is named Aik... somewhere was a picture fromt Aik in Young and in old (fe8), too...
But I thought FE8 takes place in a new World?
How could Aik meet Roy and the others?

They put Al there for some strange reason but Al's probably not in the game. I think it says something like Aik having blue hair just like Al... not to mention most of the other Fire Emblem lords.

We all know Elibe is just a continent of a far bigger world....
the FE8 could play on another continent in the same world...
PS:
-> lodoss-crystania-connection....
(Crystania and Daja En are south of Lodoss-island)
FE 6 and 7 are IHMO hommages to Lodoss
FE 8 to Crystania

IMO, their storylines and charachters seem more like a weird mix between FE 1's and FE 4's than Lodoss's.

I meant the story and design.... the basic situation of the story...
For example the devine weapons in FE / Govenor Saluvans treasures in Lodoss....
or the Dreaded isle south of Elibe as the base of Evil / Marmo is south of Lodoss....
even the nations are somewhat familiar...
Bern with his Mountains and Dragons is like the Highlands of Moss and their Dragonriders...
Lycia is like Allania.... a loose alliance of different villages and dutchings...
or Flaim the desert Kindom... the only country with a existing village of djinnis(mostly banned around lodoss)...
there are many more simelarities...
i m not saying that it s copying Lodoss... it s more like showing credit to this series...
as for Crystania it s even more obvious...
devine Beasts... Outsiders get between the lines of a war....
or the Charakters Boakes and Jenoba....

I don't have that manga, but I know from looking at it that it's Hasha no Ken. And I believe I've heard Summer refer to that guy as Al, not Aik.
Besides, his hairdo isn't the same.
Different character, methinks.

Thats Al from the Shounen Jump Fire Emblem manga....
If you play through FE6 it makes references to the manga with the weapons Tina's staff, Grants Spear and Al's Sword....all three of those people were the main characters of the manga.

People tend to forgot those weapons. They were better than the emblem weapons! Buts that all that can be said. Chad makes an apearance in the manga too. Its certainly AL and not AIK/IKE/SIMON(?). Fe8 is definently set in a new word as a map has been shown. However, its drwan in a similar way to Elibes. Also, Elibes continent is a world in itself (the only thing its missing are jungles but there are missing for all fe games). So what if there interaction with Elibe its not as if Roy and co will appear in the game. If anything Elibe appearing will be a reason for laziness (re-using maps). |
