According to the official FE7 site, there's an assassin named "Jafar"...
Now, I don't normally watch Disney movies, but I did when I was a kid, and I remember "Jafar" was also the name of the villain on Aladdin.
Isn't that strange? I wonder if there's some special meaning behind the name...
(note: I'm not sure if I'm spelling the guy's name right...)

Yeah I was thiniing the same thing to. BTW, about the pic in your sig... is it just me or am I the only that thinks the animation was taken from FE7? A modified version of Lin's critical attack. And is your site a 3 Kingdoms site? I can't tell cause there's too much stuff there.

Yep, my sig is from Lin's critical attack (I'm surprised nobody said anything earlier).

I think Jafar is your usual cliche' Arabian Villain name, sort of, in these days and age. =P Maybe it's in the original "Aladdin"...the tale, you know....as well, but I'm not too sure.

I'd just like to add that I hated Aladdin the movie. Only good parts were when Iago shows up. I'd rather they change Jaffar's name when the game comes out in English. Jaffar isn't very cool for a guy who's nicknamed the god of death.

Jarfa is alright. It's also the name of one Heaven knight in Final Fantasy Tactics. I think it's cool
