Well a combo of Nils, Rath, and Pent can take down Vaida.

i probably could have done it......last tiem i had a 20/20 rebecca, and dart, plus serra and erk who were fairly powerful.......etc.

I've attempted once or twice... Can't remember which, though. "Attempted" being the key word, though. It was my first or second playthrough, and I hadn't expected her boosted up stats to make that much of a difference.

It'd be interesting to try again, though, now that I know what I'm up against.

I disagree. Vaida isn't a bad character and she has high movement, and the ability to rescue characters. I find her useful in the mission "Victory or Death." I usually send her across rivers to take out those long range magic users.

I usually take her spear and forget her after that... I've usually got Heath, Florina, and Fiora well-leveled by that time, and I don't like replacing my characters. I get too attatched.

She's not a bad character, though- I just like my others better.

I had Heath promoted to a Wyvern Lord during one campaign and he was a meh character. I don't think he was even as good as Vaida.
Pegasus Knights own Wyvern Riders, because at least Pegasus Knights are effective against magic users, while Wyvern Riders are weak against archers AND magic users. So that's two things you have to watch out for instead of just one.

yes, but wyvern's have better defence, thus their less vulnerable to arrows then pegs.

Vaida's terrible at rescuing. She only has an aid of 8. Any of the pegasus knights or Heath is better.

There was some insane arena abuse involved, but I finally took down Vaida with a 20/20 Oswin.

I took her down with a Lord triangle! It was fun

I decided to reset though and try it with another character.

I took her out (eventually) with a 20/20 Guy.

I was able to take her down with some severe arena abuse in 16x, but this was how I did it

Pent criticals with Elfire
Louise criticals with Silver Bow
Lyn with Silver Blade (secret shop in 19)
Eliwood with Silver Blade (secret shop in 19)
Hector with Wolf Beil
Hawkeye with Brave Axe, criticaling once
Lucius gave the finishing blow with Shine twice
