That's better than usual for him; usually, all he says is "arf".

Levels don't matter, only stats.
PS, If this confused you , it's probably because RyeEggplant deleted his post in which I was replying to. It was something like, "What are your characters, and their levels?"

1) Give us character stats. 2) Tell us what story and mode you are on. (Eliwood Normal, most likey.) 3) Remind me which on this is.

In the arena levels, always get a bunch of characters you find good/promissing and train them up to level 20. Yes, abuse them. It's the easiest path to victory.
Remember that as a lesson for life.

eh...kill the generals with hector, take out the snipers and kill the sword guys with heath and kill everything else that comes from the top like paladins with a druid or something.

My strategy is to have three fronts: A. A high dodge-rate flyer with an Axereaver with some high defense/good dodge users to take care of the Sword-users. The flyers objectove is to go and warn the village. B. A couple of units who either are Magic users or good strong users good against Nomads and Cavaliers. C. Have the main force guard the Bridge near you facing north/south. Have you two front characters be Axe users and the back be Bow/Magic users. After the reinforcements die out, have the Magic users, Bow users, and your main lord stay back and get Vaida and kill the Wyvern Riders. Have the others meet up at Lloyd/Linus and take out the remaining forces.
Hope that helps.

What I myself do is this:
Send a promoted Nino and a promoted Legault to the Northwest part, your flying units to the southeast part, and everybody else in the other part. But that's just me.

thanks... but I found a good plan: this trick workes best in the arena. first, use ninis grace on the unit of your choice.then send off your unit to fight in the arena. with the fortified defence and resistance ratings, he or she will win easily.

The Hamanre is a good idea for your plan, then.
