It depends on the combined levels of your lords - Eliwood, Lyn, and Hector. If their levels are below 50, then you fight Lloyd. If they are at or above 50, then you fight Linus.

About Kenneth/Jerme, if the combined levels of your magic users>combined levels of you physical fighters, then you'll fight Kenneth, otherwise you fight Jerme. I don't think all classes are counted with the physical ones, though. Just don't ask me which ones are, and which ones aren't included  If you use all of you magic users on regular basis, chances are high you'll get the Kenneth map. Kenneth's map has a Guiding Ring, Jerme's has a Hero Crest if I'm not mistaken. Wait, this leads me to believe that they use "Guiding Ring users' lv =?= Hero Crest users' lv" to decide what map you'll get. Just don't shoot me if I'm wrong, okay? |

it's the combined lv's of your
troubador, mage, cleric, and monk lv's > Fighter, mercinary, & myrmidon then you get Kennith
otherwise you get Jerme

They also have a tendency to smite people as well...Mostly Kyuusei and Superbus, I believe
