I just recently beat Eliwood's route (within the past 2 weeks) and have been playing Hector's route. I have not been playing it that much, and as a result I am only on The Port of Badon. I am disappointed, as this route is not very different from Eliwood's so far (only 1 or 2 different levels.) Does it eventually go in a different direction, or is it just basically the same levels?

For the most part, you have the same levels, only some of them are slightly different (ie: if you fight Lloyd in the Four Fanged Offense level, he can move, which is a big change). And there are three extra levels.

The different point of view of the cutscenes is more than worth it, in my opinion.
In general, the enemies in levels are setup harder, and things like the paths in the Water Temple are in harder formations, too.

I forgot about that; it does flesh out the story more. Basically though, if you're looking for a completely different quest, then you will be dissapointed. Oh, and you can recruit a couple more characters too (Karla, Farina).

3 extra levels? I count 4:
15 (All Chapters from 15E - 23E are one chapter higher now) 19xx 24 (After 22E. All chapters from 23E - 30E are now two chapters higher) 32x

You're right; I forgot about 19xx. My mistake.
