This game was good (FE is way better), but it was way too long. Now don't get me wrong, lengthy, challenging games are great, but this game didn't give me a challenge. I have about 155 hours logged, every secret character (SPOILERS) . . . . . . . Cid, Ritz, Shara, Babus, and the other Nu Mou, and all 300 missions plus the secret missions. The most fun this game provided was after I beat it, thats when the good plot arises. We'll have to see what FF12 will be like since it is based in the same world as FFTA.

I beat all 300 missions, unlocked every secret character, without using a players guide, with a total of 74 hours and 18 minutes. I didnt like it too much, the totema animations (with the exception of Ultima and Adrammelech) were disappointing, the job and ability systems would be a bit difficult for new players to understand, and its just a bit too tedious. another 16 hours and I got my main party all to level 50. heres my party:
Marche Lvl 50 Paladin Equipment: Excalibur2, Nagrarok, Materia Armor, Angel Ring, Ninja Tabi Chivalry: Defense, Drop Weapon, Holy Blade, Saint Cross Fighter Tech: Air Render, Far Fist, Beatdown
and others that I dont remember right now

assasins have the most annoying job requirements list in the world that I rarely unlock it for Ritz and Shara before I beat the game

It's an incredibly good game...
...provided you're looking for a Strategy-RPG which, through some circumstances I do not know, requires no strategy whatsoever and has very, very few RPG elements. Yet it still manages to stand as a very good game. I don't understand.
I love it for what it is, yet I hate it for what it isn't...
