Um Spyro did you ever just try sending both as far right as they could go and up the stairs? Nana will always be just out of range but Everyle should be in range I believe of one or two of them. Well if you read my earlier post the General had rolled a move point of 7 for random stats,so he could attack Nanna on the enemy turn. This has only happened once however but I usually don't have a problem as long as the General doesn't get any extra move points. BTW Gamerusara, you're not supposed to capture Galzus(much less attack him, capturing him is insane )since you need him alive in a later chapter to recruit him.

but i read it somehwere that you need to capture(and don't release) him in order for him to join later EDIT haha quite some time i wasted trying to catch him....but i guess the sword is not too shaddy.....and i think he can still join since he's not dead....

Are you sure you didn't mistake Galzus for Salem, Misha or Trewd?
Salem, Misha and Trewd are the only characters who have to be captured in order for them to join.

I can tell you right now Gamersara, the person who wrote that guide was lying. You do NOT have to capture Galzus to have him join later. I run like hell in that chapter to avoid him. And doesn't Galzus also come with an axe? Hey what does Galzus say when you release him after capturing him?

Nu. The first time you encounter Galzus (escaping from Alster) he is equipped only with a Thin Sword. At this point, he is impossible to recruit (and virtually impossible to capture). In the chapter where you CAN recruit him (second to last) he has a Master Axe and a Fire Sword (I THINK it's a Fire Sword).

I think he also comes with a Master Sword.
I'm thinking the only way you could possibly ever capture Galzus is if you get Felgus to capture him with the Hero Sword. I'm thinking that's what she did.

Felgus isn't high enough build I don't think.....even on horse...
And yeah Galzus has only a thin sword in Ch-6 but its still more than enough to destroy you and has Master Axe, Master Sword and Fire Sword when you recruit him.
Amazingly enough first time I ever played I actually managed to last one round with Galzus using lvl. 20 Leif and a Hero Sword. Afterwards he proceeded to kill Leif on the next turn.

he came with a master sword(attack twice, useage 20) in chap 6 nothing said when you capture/release him(boring)
ADDED oh and i captured him with that axe guy on the horse that join you in chap 4(i didn't even level him up...and i'm not going to use him for the rest of the game) all the characters on horse back have the option of capturing but he's the only one that has a chance of damaging... and i used my level 15 mage to reduce his HP to 6 or something then used Leaf to get it down to 1....

DAMN! You got Asvel to level 15 already!? I hope you didn't waste your Grafcalibur.
What you guys said sound interesting though, a Thin sword? I always see him with a Master sword. Either you guys remembered wrong or there's something weird about this game. Like the general with high movement thing, I've never encountered it. Now you guys are saying Galzus comes with a Thin sword. Very interesting. Perhaps it's different versions of the game? I know there's an NP version and a cart version of FE5.

Well TF,about the General,I said that all enemies get random stats at the start of a chapter, except for bosses and mini-bosses. Try restarting a game over and over and you'll see that the same enemy won't always have the same stats.

On my copy the enemies stats who come out on Ch-5 are always fixed...
But as for Galzus...I can check.....
Brighton Axe Knight, figures really....
Brighton has Wrath so it probably activated on Galzus.
