Do I hear a parrot in here? Or where you agreeing? I have no clue, so no offense. Neither do I. I often think out things on internet posts while I'm trying to say something.. So, I agree on some points, and I disagree on some. Hector is a bit brash, and I think he didn't do the right thing by going in and attacking, but it was a quick, tough decision made in the heat of battle against a guy who was out to take over the world. But even in Fire Emblem, they don't fight for humanity, freedom, or humane things like that. They fight for each other, most of the mercernaries who join you fight for a bit of cash as well, and they fight because if they don't, Nergal is going to make their and their families lives very miserable. No one fights for justice or freedom. They may be fighting for noble purposes, but when it is, abstract concepts such as freedom or justice don't mean a thing.

If you're fighting someone who is trying to take over the world, I would call that fighting for freedom.

Exactly. Even though they may not be fighting for concepts held the most valuable in our culture, they do fight for something good.

U wouldn't bet urself on it.
have u guys read/watched X-Men. Magneto belives he is right in killing normal ppl and giving rise to a mutant inhabited world. He is technically fighting for freedom. But he is the bad guy. Ponder that.

But he is the bad guy. Ponder that. Ponder this. There is another option that allows no bloodshed in that movie. In FE, there is no other way.

COMIC BOOK MAN!!!!!!! ITS ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE THAT THE ONE FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse the caps. You must be mistaken. A: The "X-Men" were also fighting for freedom, but they were trying to do it without bloodshed. The difference between the good and evil in that book. So, the reason isn't bad, the way the guy took it out was wrong.

Magneto is not fighting for freedom. For one thing, what about the freedom he is taking away from countless innocents? Now I'm aware that humans have a strong disdain for mutants, but that segues into my second point, which is the reason humans are afraid of mutants is because of mutants just like Magneto.
So while Magneto is trying to solve a problem, you can't say he's fighting for freedom because he's partially to blame for creating said problem in the first place.
