Yungsung is alright when you start but the more you play the more you realize he's got bad range and defense and mediocre and sorta slow moves and easy to break comboes and he just doesn't cut it.
Necrid....he's uses energy weapons...U.U
He creates frickin whips, swords, axes, energy blasts......theres like no way to predict what he's going to use plus he's pretty strong and fast and comboes very well in fact I believe Necrid is banned from most tournaments.
Cervantes is nowhere near as cheesy as he used to be, he's still probably arguably the strongest but he's been downgraded so he does require a good ammount of skill to use.

Yunsung's Gankou is has an extremely long range and invisible, but it uses energy.
But I don't use him anyway, my brother took that character along with Mitsurugi.
I'm mainly using Ivy now, need to practice more on her, and then I might use Heihachi and Voldo. (Voldo is 50...no? If I remember correctly, he's not 60+...)

That wouldn't surprise me. Tournaments are run using the arcade versions aren't they? Necrid isn't even in them.
I hate Necrid. I haven't played as him, and I have no intention of doing so. I was fighting him today and he is so cheap.

As I believe, Necrid uses the attacks of almost all the characters and integrates them into his own technique.

Necrid is actually kind of easy when you can beat "very hard" level COMs, but he does get the reward for unoriginality.( He has alot of other character's good moves) If you think he is hard, try fighting a Cervantes, Talim, or Kilik at MAX Difficulty. They constanty GI.

We still have a comps set on Normal. We only got the game 2 days ago. Anything higher and we'd get slaughtered.

I got it on hard mode and I've only had it for 2 days and I'm already taking everyone to the cleaners with Nightmare.

To be truthful, Link is another Yungsung in terms of usefulness. His move list is rather small (you don't get alot of options with his weapons) nad his moves are the kind that you either hit, or get punished. Not to mention alot of his moves are easily dodged and ducked. But he gives the most fun out of all the characters.

Survival, No Recovery Mode is fun. Inferno on the 20th stage. And that's not the end.

I find Survival really hard. I can only beat one person! ;D
Lol. Oh and I beat Weapon Master for the first time last night. We got all the new missions. Some off them are really hard, so we just cheap it with Frenchie!

I managed to just beat Weapon Master completely and have all the complete SoulEdge and Ultimate weapons for everyone.
I'm now trying out the survival modes and improving my Nightmare
