I think a more recent game like... Way of Samurai I (and 2) is a better example, the graphics isn't top notch, but the gameplay itself is great.

Like I have stated in Gameplay/Graphics thread, it is much easier to ignore graphics when you play Old/Out of date games, especially if you have played the game in the past, or have heard a lot of positive things about the game.

well I have only played the game one time at my friends house. I barrowed it from him later to take to my cousins but he would only let me play tony hawk.
reason why he would't let me play FF7 was cause cloud look like a midget.

I didn't like that much FF7 back then (or else I would kill to get it), and still, I like FF6 more than FF7.

Overrated. However I dont think it is the worst. That'll be FFX-2 IMO. Oh and FFX.

FF6 and 7 are overrated. FF5 is the best one.

Of course, this is only my little unimportant and strange preference.

Ont thing that makes me really sad is that gamers nowadays put too much attention on graphic. I know some who refuse to play FF6 because of its poor graphic. It seems that everything needs to be in state of the art technology nowadays. I like great graphic, but I dont like how it spoils the way gamers look at game. Anyone agree or disagree with my opinion?

That's about exactly the same what my friend said to me last year. I've played a RPG game with 6 CDs, yes, GREAT movies and graphics, but... overall, it is weak. Back in the days I have played games which has a very well written intro on it, and the whole game is just brilliant, like a novel which you wouldn't want to stop reading till the end.

But yeah, I like FF6 and 7 [never played any others *digs up FF Anthology and 8 and 9*] and Tactics, though that technically doesn't count. Hopefully developers won't forget about gameplay and story altogether for the sake of pretty graphics.
