Allright! I just finished getting all the endings today! Now all I need to do is max out all my items and finish building up my Fu Xis and Nu Was (yes, I have two of each... I can't figure out how to delete the other two slots so I just have one =( Did they fix this in DW4:XL?).
Isn't Shu's 4th ending great? First there's Liu Bei hiding under the table after he sees the lightning, then there's Yue Ying making the Meat Buns, and then the whole thing with Jiang Wei and the Wood Ox. XD

I used bodyguards in the beginning, but then I swore, never again. ASSES! SUPREME ASSES! They steal my officer kills!

Yes... that they do. But I'm so fast at defeating enemies that I end up getting hundreds more "KOs" than my BGs.
For some reason, my BGs won't get past lv17 when I try to build them into Dragons, Phoenixes, Tigers, and Experts. Does anybody know why? I figured it was because I maxed out a stat too fast... but how do I prevent that!?

Maxing out stats has nothing to do with it. My guess is that they aren't getting enough kills to level up. Put them on attack for a level and ease off so they can kill more things and that may solve your problem.

Thanks for the advice... I'll have to try that later. Because otherwise it'd probably be impossible for the bodyguards to achieve ANY special title... well, besides Tiger... I got that from using 90% pikes

The guards need to reach a specific stats in order to get the specific title. +4 +3 +3 +3 +2 +3 +4 +2 +3 +2 +2 +2 +4 +2 +3 +1 +1 +0 +3 +2
I will come back to this a little later.

Yeah, but he said they weren't gaining levels, which is what my post was addressing. Stats affect the titles, yes, but the levels are based only on how many points they gain in a stage.

Yeah, I knew already that the BGs needed to reach a certain amount for each stat to get a specific title. Hey, there's an entire FAQ on GameFAQs dedicated to making special BGs!
I really need more free time... then I could try getting the special BGs again =(
And once again... thanks everyone for the help ^_^ Even the one known as Lord Lu Bu on a different forum (me if you didn't catch on) needs help sometimes...

Okay. Just got DW4XL.
Why oh why must my character (Lu Xun) get such a dumb Legends stage? ;_;

Okay. Just got DW4XL. Why oh why must my character (Lu Xun) get such a dumb Legends stage? ;_; It's better than the romantic interlude between Zhao Yun and Liu Bei(end of Zhao Yun's stage). UGH. My fav stages has to be Lu Bu's and Ma Chao's. Carnage at its best.

My friend was complaining about how bizarre the Zhao Yun/Liu Bei thing was, and I was like "uh...dude...it's in the book, too." XD

Man, once again I'm missing out... I'm not getting my DW4:XL 'till Christmas.
It's the same thing with Fire Emblem... everybody else has it but me =(
Oh... Iris, did they improve the Officer Edit mode? Or did they at least put in an option to delete custom officers? In DW4, I only wanted two custom officers, but I filled up all my slots and couldn't get rid of them (like to "empty slot state"). So in the end... I made two Fu Xis and two Nu Was. =(
(BTW... I made myself on there once ^_^ Male gender, color white, the first option for head, the chest plate, armor for the wrist-things/boots, the sash, and Zhou Yu's moves...)

Officer Edit hasn't been improved, sadly. I wish it was, because it's far too limiting. Just a few more options would make it a lot better...
You can't delete custom officers entirely, but you can save new ones over the old ones.
I made Fu Xi and Nu Wa...and I made Cao Pi, because they won't make him playable and I wanted to play him. ^^;;

"Ryu Li swore at Koei, a string of colorful phrases, including several graphic-if unlikely-things he wished the Koei staff would do to themselves for not improving the Officer Edit mode"
Well... I guess I'm stuck with my double Fu Xis and Nu Was -_- I really don't like making anybody else, because I know that they've stolen someone else's moves. Sounds kinda wierd, I know... but I'm like that =P

I still don't understand why they made Fu Xi and Nu Wa in the previous game series.
