Its about time a game worthy of a remake got one. Yes I'm saying a certain Fat plumber didn't need his worst adventure (and some of his best) remade SNES-tastically (wasn't that done before? Indeed it was). Looks like this remake has sorted out the key problem areas with the original (unlike a certain game set in a Zombie infested mansion).
*Read IGNs article* *Looks at the you may also like* Why the crap isn't metroid fusion there? *Kicks IGN* This is what i'm ranting about:
I'm sorry to end the post so negatively it just seems amusing that it doesn't think I would like a metroid game when reading a page about another metroid game.
Now heres a classic:
Look at number 2. Surley it should work out thats the game i'm looking at and as for number 4. So Zelda the 4 swords now has shooting or deep exploration of dengeons for the lone player.
Given all the critisms I reckon the "plot twist" they are excited over is just another hype thing or the current trend (revied from ye olde mega mane one back in 1837) of having to fight all the bosses again. It would be surprising seeing as Metroid had like zero lines of dialogue.
Still I'm looking forward to the game. I hope it sends a message to developers about HOW to tackle remakes. There will be excuse for SNES-tastic ports (I know they aren't ports but still). Can't wait for Zelda Zero Mission (Yes, I know thats just a pipe dream...).

Yeah, I read that article today. I'm SO excited for this game! I hope that it's not so linear as Fusion was though.

You know TF... you reminded me of something. =\
In Nintendo Power, there's a pic of Samus without her suit during gameplay... much like the Justin Bailey code. I'm not sure if it's just a cutscene or not though (it doesn't look like one, seeing as the map's there along with nine energy tanks in the upper-left corner of the screen).
Oh, and if anybody wants me to scan what was in NP, just say so...

Oh yeah, I saw that. My theory is that it's either another Fusion link-up bonus or whne you beat the game. I mean, you can't have Metroid without Justin Bailey!

I can hear the flames now: "Wtf? They dumbed down this game so much! It's not even like the original Metroid."

ZM rocks. It has a bit of a Super Metroid feel to it... and the music! Hearing the original Metroid themes again is whoa. o_O
And finally, you can climb walls like in Fusion. <3

Just beat this game. And wow, is it incredible. It's already climbed up to #3 on GBA on Gamerankings, and for good reason. Every second you spend on this game you will be having fun. Unfortunately, that's not as many seconds as you would spend on most games. The new powers rock. I love sparkshine. The part they added after mother brain...well, I won't give anything away, save that it's the best part of the game, and you're in for one or two of the best moments of the series. The ending is sort of sweet and sad. Overall, this game rocks. I'm playing it through a second time, and this time I think I'll get well under my previous 4 hours.
