They're pretty flexible, but no, you can't fall in love with anyone.
Some of my favorite pairings are Jaffar x Nino (she sure changes Jaffar) and Will x Rebecca (you kicked me...in the stomach...)

What's with all this Lyn x Strategist? ^^;;;; (Dammit, I can JUST see all the Eli x Strategist and Hec x Strategist and Random Hot Characters x Strategist fics being written)
Lyn's pairs are Rath, Hec, Eli and Kent.
Once you recruit a certain character, a new option will appear in the fortune telling menu that tells you who can have support with whom. But beware, not all pairs fall in love. Some are just good friends/comrades, like Lyn and Wil.
EDIT : Gah, Kyuusei, are you carrying a nomad plague or something? I can't believe I typed Rath instead of Kent...
Well, he's going to get an A support this game. It's just that it's going to be with Guy.....=P

Much as I'd love Hec x strategist, somebody please for the love of God kill me before I ever write a fic like that.
Ugh, I can see it now. Cheap excuse to write Mary Sues.

Sticking to Lin x Rath for now... in Hec's route it'll be Hec x Lin. I SWEAR IT THIS TIME. XD#nosmileys

I'd also like to see a Lyn x Strategist fanfic (or doujin). I'm such a pig. As we know, the guy (or girl) has brownish-red hair, as seen in some of the cutscenes, but that's it.    |

You're not suppose to know what the strategist looks like. The strategist if suppose to look like you. Just look at a mirror if you don't know what you look like.

Just like said Rayaerth, we can see that the strategist have brown-red hair and personnaly, at the first sight he looks like Eliwod with this hair style...... ^^ (but we don't see all of his/her hair because of the sheet. But with the second CG:  We can see the strategist has short hair on the front of his/her head. |

lol  You all are fighting over who goes with yourself. (well, duh, you are the strategist.) Oh well, anyways who goes with Eliwood. Since Ninian leaves (I think since my friend borrowed the game, told me about it, and loses it  ), that leaves only two people, since there are only three girls that eli can support, and thats Lyn and one of the pegeses knights and i don't remember who. But in my friends and my beliefs, that would be Lyn. |

Its never actually said whether or not Roy is indeed Half Dragon but its more likely the dragon blood in him is recessive....and also his default relationship is Lillina Sophia is only optional.
Reason I say this is that Ninnian and Nils mentioned they were Ice Dragons special oracle type dragons of some sort. But they did mention they lost their powers in this realm....
Now add that together and consider how usually a certain blood/gene is usually dominant over the other and the fact they mentioned their powers were not supported in this realm.
I'm guessing Roy is part dragon but it has near no influence on him anyway.

but at the ending Ninian got her powers back... and I thought the reason they couldn't use their powers was because Nergal sucked their energy...
