I'm open to new ideas and I didn't expect to have the same stuff in every Fire Emblem game. I'm not saying I want Intellegent Systems to change the series completely.

I believe that a series needs some constant elements that give it an identity of its own. And one of these elements is the inexistance of animal people. Leave everything to humans and dragons/mamkutes.
But I tend to dislike changes anyway, so meh.

If it weren't for changes... your FE4 would be VERY different. So, just wait and stop worrying about the game! For all we know, she's just a young lion-girl. FE4 is my parameter. I don't compare it to FE1/3 (FE2 is an oddball); I compare FE1/3 to FE4, as I already said somewhere before. After all, it was the first one I played, and the one I enjoyed the most. And, as I don't like changes, I felt FE1/3/6/7 were lacking. Although poorly worded, I think my logic is understandable. By the way, it wouldn't hurt if you stopped ironizing my open preference for FE4 every now and often. Thanks in advance. And I'm not talking about mechanics, you see. It's all about races. And, guess what? All the usual FEs (1/3, 4/5 and 6/7) had only humans and dragons - although the latters were absent in FE5, and have a less obvious role in FE4. And you know that mamkutes are dragons. None had catgirls. Nor lion girls. Of any sort. Animal people belong in BoF's tradition. Not in FE's. |
