PLZ GIEV ME LINKS TO HAWT FURRY SEX FAN DRAWNIGS KKTHXBYE!!!!11111 NOW!!111 But, really I don't think one or two catgirls won't be that much of a problem. I know one thing though, they had better have less skirmishes and more full-on wars with the technology they have to work with.

Full-on wars aren't 'better' than small skirmishes. I'm not aware of the world of hentai so I don't know what the big deal is with the cat ears. It seems fine to me, and differentiated characters are always good.
For anyone that says changes are bad...I can't say yet, but cat ears is not a significant change by itself. Is the 'lack of cat ears' what attracted you towards FE? I hope not. The change would be the impact in the storyline and the meaning behind those cat ears which can be good, bad, or totally insignificant.
The definite change is in the game going 3-D. It's not 'evolution' to go to 3-D. For example, 3-D pacman is just gay. It'll be a significant change to the gameplay whether it's good or bad.
Edit: By the way, I would be extremely disappointed if I saw a waving dildo on the screen but why the hell do catgirls belong only in hentai?

I like how in FE4 castles had armies and stuff, their ranks were logical. You would have like a calvary unit led by a slightly stronger one and such. If they did that on some levels that would be cool. I do however like the small skirmish setting a little more. It reminds me of star craft, you have to use everyone for their purpose at the right time or pay the consequences.
Oh, and all you need to know about cat people is that it is the fall of Anime, and the Western World as we know it...

About the catgirl, not the dildo.

Basically, in my life of seeing cartoons, I can remember one "catgirl" that hasn't been in some sick porno: Rowr...

Right...
I think Uriko in Bloody Roar can be counted as a cat girl. There was a psychotic power-hungry cat girl in Rave.
I don't remember any other cat girls. I think everyone else just needs to get out of the 'every cat girl must have a penis inside them' stereotype, and it won't be such a big deal.

I'll tell you what's wrong with catgirls. Throughout Fire Emblem, the world was filled with fantasy creatures and monsters. Fire Emblem is a very traditional fantasy story. There are barely any monsters except Fire Emblem Gaiden. To me, catgirls do not belong in traditional fantasy. Catgirls are modern creations. They have no place in traditional mythology. Catgirls has always had a sleazy image attached to them.

That's why she's a cat girl.

The 'sleazy image' is exactly what I'm talking about.

Don't you think that you're getting too much worried about a little detail?
Eh... The "traditional" fantasy that you speak of was created mainly by Tolkien. Yes, based on old myths. But old myths completely changed.
To make cat-girls fit as much as Tolkien's races do(yes, I know that none fit very well but...) we'd just have to find some myths about cat-people, get the name of the myth, and use that name as the name of the new race. That's almost the same thing that Tolkien did with his races. They only have few of the basic charachteristics from the myths they're based on.

Unlike Tolkien, FE doesn't have all these different races... and we're not used to them either. XD
