Has anyone bothered to raise Marcus to lv. 20?

When I tried him with arena abuse I got (I started over and did not remember all the stats):
HP: I think 49
Strength: 23
Skill: 26 *MAXED*
Speed: 14
Luck: 17 I think...
Defense: Forgot. 12?
Resistance: Forgot. 7?

On my first play through. I got him to that level. He was so great I though. Then I used some other Cav, and found out every stat was higher. I don't use palis though.

Most people say paladins are worthless, but I found if you raise Kent properly, he's actually a good character.
I'm sure Sain can turn into a decent fighter too.

Yep. People think paladins suck because they don't excel at anything. But they're well rounded and good for most situations.

Yeah. That, and when people figure out Marcus is useless, they notice he's a paladin and automatically equate paladins with bad unit. Same with Isadora. I think most people forget about Kent and Sain. I don't know about Lowen.

I raised Marcus to lv. 20 my first time playing. Man, was he horrible. I raised Kent to a paladin once, and he was okay. Sain I have never raised, but he has to have the coolest personality in the game.

In fact, Paladins get to use every weapon in the triangle (sword/spear/axe). That's an interesting thing.

In my games, Sain turned out better than Kent, though.

I never gave any kind of chance to Marcus.

Focus on the others. Kent and Sain are both pretty decent. Lowen's a notch lower. And I absolutely cannot bring myself to use Marcus or Isadora, both are units that really subpar.

My L5 Marcus had no trouble fighting on Victory or Death, after which he got to L12 or so. Of course, he did have A support with Merlinus.

Those stats are incredible. The char with those stats will truly stand out compared to the rest.
