I get the impression that a lot of people here are either fluent or proficient in Chinese. Since there are archives of Chinese translations of the script at www.fireemblem.net/fe/ why not translate that into English instead of waiting for someone who knows Japanese to translate from the original? The few missing conversations? The lack of boss taunts? The lack of sidequest scripts?

Hmm...that would be nice. I'm a fanfiction author though, so I just used kern's translation and firgured out the rest from siggypant's charater guide...which is pretty good besides the huge spelling mistakes...

I get the impression that a lot of people here are either fluent or proficient in Chinese. I doubt that. I could be wrong, but I haven't seen a WHOLE lot of people proficient or fluent at Chinese (or Japanese for that matter). Sometimes I wish I was fluent in Chinese and/or Japanese though... the only thing I can read is Katakana. =[

I can read the entire sentence and not know most of the words so count me out. Captamzai is the perfect candidate but he's busy so count him out...

I haven't used Chinese since elementary school, so it's probably poor. Here's a sample chapter, which I hope would reflect the general quality of translation. I just chose one with enough story text but hasn't been translated because I'd probably unconsciously take stuff from Kern's and Fire Lizard's translations. Of course, I did steal their translation of proper names.
Chapter 16: Return of the Capital
After rescuing the dragon girl Fa, Roy started marching towards Acreia, the capital of the Etruria kingdom. Acreia, Etruria's capital, is also known as the continent's largest city. The coup de tat faction, to meet Roy, gathered a large army here. Their original intent was to rely on the capital's walls and engage outside the palace. However, Percival (I think) and Guinivere's attendant of the Elimine Order confirmed that Roy was on the side of the people and pursuaded the citizenry and the Elimine Order, causing the citizenry to surround the palace, making it impossible for the palace to engage outside. The Elimine Order, founded by St. Elimine, one of the "Eight Divine Generals" of legend, has its base in Etruria and Bern and has the faith of many. Roy, with their support, marches toward Etruria's palace. But in the palace was one of Bern's three Dragon Generals, Narsehn, waiting for Roy with his Souther Division......
In the throne room: Narshen: Hmph... Those Lycian mongrels! They dare to come here... Soldier: Lord Narshen, the Dragon General Mardock has come to Acreia. Narshen: What? Immediately send men to welcome him. Murdock: Away! Narshen: Ah, Lord Murdock, you've come all the way from Ilia... Murdock: Narshen, what excuses do you have now? Narshen: What happened? Murdock: Princess Guinivere has escaped again; your subordinate Freya lost at the Western Isles; you even ignored His Majesty's personal order that you take the village hidden in the Nabata Desert. How do you explain these? Narshen: ...Well, because of a lot of reasons... Murdock: ...This is the order of the King. From now one, you are no longer one of the three Dragon Generals. Narshen: What? Murdock: Gale will replace you. Narshen: Wait! Please, give me another... give me another chance! Murdock: ...the Lycian Alliance is drawing near to Acreia. If you can stop them, I will ask His Majesty to rescind the order. Narsehn: Sir Murdock... Murdock: Narshen, do not disappoint His Majesty... and me again...
Off to the west: Douglas: ...You two, what do you plan to do to the King? Roartz: Ah, yes. That bunch might kill the King. Well, the mother of the king of Bern, Zephiel, was Etruria's princess, so, you should escape soon. Douglas: I refuse. The reason I fight with you is because of the King's safety, not because I approve of your plans. Roartz: Old fashioned man! Do as you will! Alucard, lets escape! Douglas: Escaping like a bunch of cowards at the end... just like the spineless traitors you are! There's no use in living under Bern. Let the Lycian Alliance deal with those parasites. The Princes will return from the Western Isles one day... Then... Etruria will shine once again. I, the "Grand General" of the Three Generals of Etruria, will stay loyal until the last moment.
Lalam talks to Douglas: Lalam: Father! Douglas: Lalam? What are you doing here? Lalam: With the Prince... Douglas: What? The Prince has returned! ...Now, I can rest assured about Etruria. Lalam: ...Father. Douglas: Daughter... I've put you through hardships. Then, to distract the assassins' attention, I put the prince under your sole care and told you to escape to the Western Isle... Lalam: No! That was what I wanted. Douglas: But you, who at last escaped your hard life, having to return to a dancer's life... Lalam: ...Before, when I collapsed on the street due to hunger and coldness, you, father, were the one to took me in. You brought me up as if I were your own daughter. From that time, I have decided; I will help father in any way. I will pay back your kindess. So, I am happy now. I can finally help you. Douglas: Thank you. I entrust the prince to you... Lalam: Father? Are you not going to go with us? Douglas: The King is still in the hands of the enemy. If I go with you, there is no guarantee that Lycia will not take His Majesty's life. Because the Prince has returned, I rest in peace. If I am defeated by the Lycian Alliance, it does not matter. Lalam: .... Douglas: Return to them. If you stay with me, the enemy will suspect you. No matter what happens, you are as my own daughter... Lalam: Father... Douglas: I hope you find happiness afterwards...
Miredy talks to Zeis: Zeis: Sister! Miredy: Zeis? Why are you here... Zeis: I am suspected of being a traitor to Bern, and I'm now a fugitive... Miredy: Is it... because of me? Zeis: Sir Gale said that you seemed to have sided with the enemy. I did not believe it. Now, though... Sister! Why did you betray Bern? Why? Miredy: I have no intention of treason. I am but helping Princess Guinivere. Zeis: Because of that Princess, you will abandon your country, your kin, and your love? For that... self-will traitor to his own brother... Miredy: Zeis, even if you are my brother, I will not let you slander the Princess! The one who is thinking of Bern's best interest is not the King but Princess Guinivere. Actually, when the Princess did not tell me anything when she first left, I hated her. But having been with her for so long, I believe that the path she chose is correct. Zeis: Sir Gale's words... they are right. Miredy: What? Zeis: "When you meet your sister, use your own eyes to see. Decide everything afterwards..." Miredy: Gale... said that? Zeis: Although I do not understand everything, I believe my sister. If this army's commander agrees, I want to join you. The path you believe, the path that Guinivere chose, I want to see as well...
After the battle: Roy: Princess Guinivere, I need to talk to you. Guinivere: ...You want to join with Etruria and attack Bern, correct? Roy: Who told you? Guinivere: No one... but I felt that this was inevitable... Roy: ...We can't let Bern go on like this. I know that it is painful for you to participate in an attack on your own country, but I beg of you... Guinivere: ...Please take this, Lord Roy. Roy: What is this? Guinivere: Bern's treasure, "Fire Emblem." In southern Bern, there is a place called the "Shrine of Seals." In it is hidden the founder of Bern's sword. Roy: One of the Divine Weapons? Guinivere: Everyone believes so. But, it's a weapon with special abilities, forged to defeat the most powerful leader of Dragons, "Demon Dragon." Roy: The key to the Seal... Guinivere: Lord Roy, my brother... he intends to use might to conquer the world. That is not forgivable, no matter who he is... The only way to stop my brother is to defeat Bern and his dragons... My name, I guess, will go down in history as "the woman who sold her country"... Roy: How... Guinivere: I'm afraid that I must live, enduring the name of traitor. Lord Roy, please promise me one thing. When you attack Bern, do not let the people of Bern... Roy: I will never lay hands on Bern's civilians. Believe me. Guinivere: Lord Roy... thank you...

Douglas will remain hostile even after talking to Lalam/Elphin, but he won't attack the one that talked to him. You still have to keep him alive to get Aureola and him.
I can't tell you any boss conversations because, as said before, the site doesn't record them. I do know that Narshen has special conversations with Cecilia and Miredy, though special talks with Clarine and Zeis is probable. I think his generic taught is something like "I am the strongest, the most handsome! Buahahahaha!" but don't take my word for it. It's only there as a narrative editor's note in the script I'm using.
Notice, also, that the chapter 16 dialogue also left out the exchange between Zeis and Gale at the beginning of the stage.
Going back a chapter so that it connects to Kern's:
Chapter 15: Daughter of the Dragon
After saving the Nabata Village, Roy left the desert with Igrene's guidance. To defeat the coup de tat faction, they started advancing toward Etruria. But, at this time, an urgent message arrived from Nabata Village's elder--the dragon girl, Fa, seems to have followed Roy and disappeared from the Nabata Village... If Fa falls into the hands of the coup de tat faction or Bern, the consequences cannot be imaged... To seek the whereabouts of Fa, Roy arrived at Etruria's border.
At the castle: Soldier: General, we captured a strange girl. Neese: A girl? ...Because she was roaming around the walls? What is wrong with you? You want to lay hands on a girl like that? Get her out of here! Soldier: But, but, the girl was carrying this... Neese: This... dragon stone? You've seen a dragon stone? Soldier: During the invasion of Lycia... in order to maintain a human appearance, the dragons needed to carry this. But this stone seems to be different from the ones they carry. Neese: In any event, it's something related to dragons. Report this to King Zephield and await orders. Do not let the girl escape.
Outside the castle: Roy: The dragon girl, she was taken away by the people in that castle? Merlinus: That is what the people nearby say. Igrene: Lord Roy, our hometown has caused much trouble for you... I'm sorry. You were supposed to be en route to the capital, Acreia. Roy: No. If that child falls into the hands of the enemy, that would be the bigger problem. Igrene: If she does not let others see her dragon stone, I believe it is safe for her to maintain a human appearance. Roy: What is a dragon stone? Igrene: When a dragon maintains a human form, it contains its original strength. In this world, to maintain a dragon's true form requires great strength. Because dragons need to live with the appearance of humans, they need to fix the loss of strength at a minimum. No matter what, dragons in the forms of humans existed in the time of the Scouring. Roy: Since so long ago... Merlinus: The scout you sent is back, Lord Roy. There are more soldiers in this castle than in the last. This time, it is not for combat but for increasing security. Roy: Is that so? They might have discovered that Fa is a dragon. Merlinus: Another complication. The border patrol seems to have discovered us. Roy: Then we need to finish this quickly. We must rescue Fa!
Lalam talks to Percival (actually recorded in chapter 13, but it's the same as the one here) Lalam: Lord Percival! Good, I've been searching for you. I am... hey! Wait! Wait! Hold your horses. I have something to say. Percival: ...Who are you? Lalam: Don't scare me like that... Haven't we met several times before? Percival: ...I remember seeing you at Lord Douglas' mansion. Lalam: Yes! That's when! You knew. Why do you pretend... Percival: The one I saw there was a very ordinary woman. Lalam: What? What do you mean! ...Nevermind. My name is Lalam! The Prince sent me as a messenger. Percival: The prince... you lie. The prince died in an accident a year ago. Lalam: Heheh... this seal, it is very familiar? Percival: ! That's... the Prince's... Lalam: You remember! Good. Read this letter. It's from the Prince to you! Percival: ...It is...truly the Prince's handwriting. It's true. The Prince is still alive... I can no longer hesistate! The Prince sided with the Lycian Allaince, and I have only one road to choose. Lalam: Hm? This easily... my practice was for naught... like "If you want to keep fighting, then kill me!"... There was a lot of melodramatic words to say originally...
After the stage Merlinus: Lord Roy, the girl has been found! Roy: I'm coming! Merlinus: LIttle girl, aren't you going to bow to Lord Roy? Fa: sniffle... sniffle... Roy: There's no need, Merlinus... Fa, why didn't you listen to the elder and follow us? Fa: Because, I wanted to see the outside... Merlinus: What? Because of this? ...You brought us quite a lot of trouble! Don't you know! Fa: But, but I have never been to the outside... always, always I have been alone, always in the dark house... Roy: ...... Merlinus: What now, Lord Roy? Roy: ...You've been through a lot of hardship. But do you know how much trouble you brought to the elder, to everyone, by doing this? Fa: I'm sorry... Roy: You know that you are wrong? Well, come with us, then. Merlins: ...There won't be any problems? Roy: This girl's existence has been found. It's better to keep her near than sending her back. Fa: Wow! Yay! Merlinus: Hey, don't get too happy! Roy: But Fa, do not just run off. Fa: Yeah! Scout's honor! (The site actually uses a Chinese equivalent of this, but I don't know if there's a closer English parallel. I'm rather against literal translation of idioms)
Feel free to correct me on the names. There was no way I could've recognized Percival's name in the script if I didn't know there was a conversation between him and Lalam in that chapter. I'm pretty sure the boss' name wasn't translated right either.

Hrm.
If I knew how to do the translation, I would try, because I have TOO much time on my hands...
I'm 16 and have a high school diploma... which gives me, like I said, too much time on my hands.. considering I'm a little rich kid.
Narshen is HOT.
I like his glare.
