Katana-type of weapons has existed since 2000 B.C.

I know you were... but I wasn't...
Maybe my whole personality is a joke? I dunno... all I know is that this thread is getting a little off topic... so let's get it back to where it should be...
Is Cao Ren's weapon messed up or what?

I never use Cao Ren because I think the whole character is messed up. His look, his height, his helmet, his weapon, his...shield? Who actually use shield?

Who would use a shield as a weapon? Goofy from Kingdom Hearts... err, yeah.
Rugaa from Nashionite also uses a shield as a weapon... but he's a lot better with it than Cao Ren... Wanyu also uses a buckler blade, but he's probably better with it than Cao Ren too...
I never liked Cao Ren much either. He's like... a midget clown or something. I mean, Yue Ying and Zhou Tai are cool... but Cao Ren? And Cao Ren's lv10 weapon is a pain to get! Ugh... good thing my friend's good at DW4 too... otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the weapon...
Maybe they should've left him as a "Lu Bu imposter" sub-general as I like to call them...
Did you know that Zhuge Liang can rub his body on a box and make a pot disappear? It's true... he did it during the Nanman Campaign (sorry, long story...)

I mean, I've never seen or heard of any general in China uses shield, at all.
Shield is more of a soldier thing, (well, commonly used in the West, but not in the east by people in High place.) That's because most generals use polearms or spears.

Yeah... or in the case of Dynasty Warriors, many also prefer swords...

Hmm... it seems that in a lot of games and stories a lot of people use swords...

Hey! The buckler blade kicks ass! Cao Ren is just too slow to be very good. If you want someone that just plain sucks, take Pang Tong.
