Okay, you're really asking to be shot slashed hurt. Pinning the names on Shawn and making it look like he committed a crime against nature and using the verb "will" is just asking for it. .......................i can help...............

The name of "Aeris" was changed back to "Aerith" in the English version of Kingdom Hearts. The names in the official translations of the NES and PSOne versions of Final Fantasy I are usually different. "Pravokia" was changed to "Pravoca" in FF Origins, and from "Kary" to "Marilith."

So?
Romanization is always a pain, don't complain unless you can do better... (can't do it for poo, *neither can the SCII people*)

ALL HAIL BOB!!! If you want to talk about conflicting translations then talk about Harvest Moon 64. Cliff's pet bird was called Kain, and Kane in the same game. They keep changing the name back and forth.

Look, if you want to use certain names, fine use them. But you better not start trying to force them on people. I don't care if you call Sigurd "Lawrence." Just STOP IT! We know what you think, but you're not a fucking prophet! ENOUGH!

Thats what I thought at first but upon further inspection I found it didn't even exist in the Advanced Oxford dictionary or 3 other major English dictionaries. Although I haven't tried a Thesaurus yet.... I can only agree with him.... Boo originally decided to go with the direct Treasure names as a base since they had been published. Shawn only picked up what was left over and finished off the job and reverted the names to the proper names simply because they were more popular. To pin the blame on Shawn is a bad idea because he could have very easily simply decided not to even clean up the patch. Quite simply when your talking about unofficial translations/patches you should be happy they even exist as these guys don't get paid. The translators over at NOA DO get paid.

They keep changing the name back and forth. I love Natsume for that reason! ^^ I mean, Lufia 2, they call Gratze Kingdom "Grassi" at one point, and later it's " 3y' Kingdom." And they even spell their own name wrong in the HM64 title screen! "Natume." ^^

Heh howabout Megaman X games and also Network Transmission and also Battle Network?
Take anyone of those games and study it you'll find so many translation cock ups most people make a hobby of it noting down everything.
Quick examples are they changed Yamatoman into Japanman. Plus in the Network Transmission booklet they messed up witht the characters names

Yeah. Like in MM7, when you beat Dr. Wily, Megaman goes, "I gonna do what I should done years ago!"
And in MMBN, some guy says "reson" instead of "reason." It's in one of the train stations.

Not the original Metal Gear, is it?
Tedius, you're not making any sense. This whole time you've been saying that you want the Treasure names, because they're 'official', then you come up with examples of where names have been changed? I don't understand...
